Damp Testings
Very similar in make up to the installation inspections in as much as the way the reports are produced.
The difference between the reports is that a damp testing inspection is normally a specific terms of engagement i.e. a contractor could request the service of independent specialists to provide a report based upon the damp, condensation, mould pertaining to fenestration.
This type of report looks into the relative humidity of the property and the way in which ventilation is provided into the establishment.
Moisture laden air causes havoc with high quality energy-efficient window installations and can cause excessive condensation that probably would not have manifested on the glazing that has been removed.
Standard damp and water ingress issues are identified using specialist moisture recording equipment that allows the assessor to understand if the damp is related to rising issues from the building fabric or as ingress from poorly sealed fenestration units.
